That's A Wrap

Well, I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet, so I don't have any presents to wrap, but if I did, here's the perfect wrapping inspiration.

OK, this lady really knows how to wrap a present! Have you ever seen this book? It's by Carolyne Roehm, and it's a true feast for the eyes. Her gifts are so beautifully wrapped that whatever is inside is almost superfluous.

I was lucky enough to stumble across a copy of Presentations at TJMaxx, but you can find it here. If you like what you see, you also might want to subscribe to her email newsletter. Total eye candy! Her other books, At Home with Carolyne Roehm, and A Passion for Parties, are also totally wonderful. Here are a few pics from Presentations for inspiration.

I wish I could come up with anything half as beautiful!

  1. I'll take an 1/8th of her talent and be happy! Goodness are those gorgeous! I signed up for her email. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Now all I have to do is buy the gifts....

    Love,

  2. Think I must order that book today. Hubby and I have decided our adult children have been just too hard to buy for the past couple years. So, we are going the gift certificate route and I have been looking for some inspiration on packaging them so that they still feel they are opening "gifts". That book just might just have the solution.

  3. ooohhh... they are beautiful! But I think I love the chair (with the lions) even more! TJMaxx is so much fun to brouse through.. so is Marshalls. I have yet to buy a single present. Every year I aspire to having Christmas 'all wrapped up' early, but alas, it'll have to wait 'til next year. (pardon the pun..)

  5. Oh, good grief...these are just beautiful. My mother was really good at wrapping gifts. With 10 grandkids, 6 grownups, and numerous friends to wrap for, by the time I get them all wrapped, my room looks like it's been hit by the A Bomb, the tape is stretched across the room and then some, my hair is standing on ends, my eyes blood-shot and I only have one nerve left and it's REAL easy to step on it!!
    Hahaha
Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures!

  6. Oh Wow what beautiful wrappings! I wish I could do half as good as that. I enjoy wrapping gifts, you can get so creative. Great ideas!
And thanks Mary for the good ideas you left on my blog for making Christmas time a bit easier. I DO love sending Christmas cards though and probably will continue to do that even though it's so time consuming.
Well, I'm off to shop for some gifts today and maybe some pretty wrapping paper too!
    Have a great day!
    Hugs,
    Donna

  9. ooohhh... they are beautiful! I wish I have a talent for "wrapping". I have to admit I'm not good at it; usually have someone else do that for me :)

You have a blessed day, Mary.

  10. I love the white paper and then having the ribbons, etc as the frilly part of the wrapping. It really stands out that way! Of course, I'm lucky to get the corners neat on my packages ;-)

    God bless,
    Sallie

  11. My sister and I were the official "wrappers" in our house growing up, but that pretty much involved curling ribbon and not much more. For years I have been all about the wired ribbon from CostCo, but this year I have designs on something ... more ... Thanks for the inspiration.

  12. Wow! What a stunning way to wrap a present. It would almost be a shame to unwrap the gift (almost...hehehe). I had to laugh at BJ's comment, that is just how I am too! lol Will have to check out this book though, thanks Mary!

  14. I've been wanting that book! I've been known for spending more on the wrapping than on the actual gift! I'm going to go sign up for her newsletter!
